Dear Public School Construction and Inspection Program
Stakeholders,
Attached is the draft of the consolidated rules for the Public School
Construction and Inspection Program (the
red-line copy). The Division of Fire Safety scheduled a meeting for
Tuesday, 13 Oct. 2009, at 01:00pm, at their offices (2nd floor of, 9195 E.
Mineral Ave., Centennial, see
map.) They are asking for your review and comment of the attached
proposed rules. The Division of Fire Safety tried to do their best to simply
consolidate the two sets of rules from OPS and DFS and identified a few
areas to streamline processes.
In order to meet the consolidation deadline, DFS published the draft rules
9/29/09 and scheduled a rulemaking hearing for Tuesday, 4 Nov. If you have
comments or recommended changes, please have them available on or before the
13 Oct. meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting, but would still like to
comment on the rules, please send your comments to
mark.wassom@cdps.state.co.us.
They will develop marked-up draft of the rules at that meeting. They will
then seek review and comment by those members of the Board of Appeals that
have been identified by their respective professional associations. In
addition, you will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed rules at
the hearing. Please disseminate the draft rules to any other interested
parties.
