The Division of Oil and Public Safety (OPS) will be
conducting outreach meetings in 2009 to keep the regulated community
informed about changes to regulations and other operational requirements.
OPS invites petroleum storage tank owner/operators, contractors, vendors,
environmental consultants and other interested parties to attend these
outreach sessions. There is no cost to attend the outreach meetings, though
admission will be limited to two attendees per company.
Topics that will be highlighted at these meetings include: regulatory
changes driven by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (secondary containment,
installer certification, delivery prohibition and operator training);
operational compliance; changes to the remediation section regulations,
guidance, policies and procedures; petroleum storage tank fund policy and
application updates.
The final outreach meeting will be held on November 16, 2009 from 8
AM - 3 PM, at the:
Fort Lewis College
Student Union - Vallecito Room
1000 Rim Drive
Durango, Colorado
Attendees for the outreach meeting in Durango must pre-register by
November 6, 2009 utilizing the Participant Registration form (Word

OPS looks forward to meeting with you to discuss the new regulatory
requirements and answering any questions you have during these outreach
