Installer's Certificate Required - Effective
January 1, 2009 all UST installers must be certified by the
International Codes Counsel (ICC) in U1-UST
Installation/Retrofitting. Without this certification,
contractors will not be allowed to perform an install/upgrade and
all associated Installation/Upgrade Permit Application Forms
submitted to OPS will be denied. For information on how to

NOTE:
Effective April 15th, 2008 all UST Installation/Upgrade Permit
Applications shall be submitted using the new application forms that address
secondary containment requirements for USTs and piping. In addition, prior
to any new UST installation or conversion/upgrade of an existing UST for
storage of Alternative (E-85 or biodiesel) or Renewable fuels (E100 or
B100), the Alternative/Renewable Fuel Compatibility Form along with the
Installation/Upgrade Permit Application Form shall be submitted to OPS.
