5-6-1.
ROLE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL
(1) The OPS will submit to the Colorado Attorney General's Office for review
any settlement agreement, jury verdict, or final court order, together with any
pertinent pleadings or other materials it has received.
(2) Based on its review of the legal
adequacy of such documentation, the Attorney General's Office will provide a
legal reimbursement recommendation to the Committee.
Consistent with its role as legal counsel to the Committee, the Attorney
General's Office may provide additional advice concerning third-party liability
issues to the Committee.
(3) For aboveground storage tanks where
reimbursement is sought, the Attorney General’s Office must approve the
settlement agreement in accordance with §8-20.5-303(1)(c) C.R.S.
